Background
- Dr. Noor Afzarini Hasnita Ismail is a lecturer and clinical audiologist at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She earned her PhD from the University of Manchester, a Master in Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne, and a degree in Audiology from IIUM. Dr. Noor Afzarini’s research focuses on improving audiology services and promoting hearing aid use through behaviour change approaches. Her areas of interest include aural rehabilitation and paediatric audiology.

- Coordinate research-related activities that contribute to the advancement of the audiology profession.
- Promote evidence-based practice by encouraging the sharing and application of research findings.
- Cultivate research and publication culture among members, including coordination of MANSA-led publications (e.g. e-Bulletin).
- Support the visibility of members’ research and connect members with relevant research opportunities.
- Perform other research-related responsibilities as assigned by the association.

- Audiology field has a very good potential to advance evidence-based practice while bridging clinical research and practice to ensure better hearing solutions for diverse populations.
