Mawaddi is a Senior Clinical Evaluation Associate at Ambu Innovation (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, with the highest educational background of postgraduate in audiology. In his current experience, he has been exposed to the industry perspective of medical device development and clinical research. His involvement within regulatory area starts from his post-graduate studies and continues until the current role where conformity or compliance are among the things that key to this field.

Audiology field has a lot of room to grow. We should start designing our profession based on local need. To achieve that, the industry-player, the academia and the regulators need to be intertwined roots to the field, where the policy becomes the framework, the evidence shows the way, and the industry is the driver. The key is focusing on progress, not just the outcomes.
