Background

Dr Nurul Huda Bani is currently a senior audiologist and Head of Audiologist in Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras, Ministry of Health. She received her bachelor (2004) and doctorate in philosophy (PhD) (2019) in audiology from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Her primary clinical and research interests are aural (re)habilitation, auditory training, geriatric audiology, instructional design and auditory-cognitive neuroscience.

She has published several articles in the field of aural (re)habilitation and other audiology fields. She has been on numerous committees as member and Chair; and serving as a reviewer for multiple task force in developing national audiology clinical guidelines, technical reports, standard of practice and competencies guidelines in Ministry of Health (MOH) since 2008 until today. She was also involved in the review & refinement of MSQH 6th Edition 17E Audiology Services in 2021. She is also a member of Search Committee for Subject Matter Expert in MOH.

Dr Nurul Huda has been active in a number of professional organizations, including serving for 3 terms (nonconsecutive) in MANSA as Secretary and Professional Development Exco. She was a Secretary for Proterm Allied Health Profession Act Committee that involved in developing standards of practice in audiology. Currently, she is the Chairperson for Audiology Rehabilitation Committee Ministry of Health and Exco for Research & Innovation in Audiology Technical Committee MOH. She holds numerous positions in hospital committee involving the area of policy, accreditation, competency, infection control and administration.

As the current President of MANSA, her mission is to promote excellence in audiology through leadership, advocacy, collaboration and engagement with professionals, organizations and community.
